Mara Events is an event planning and management company based in Abuja, Nigeria. Since 2020 we have delivered more than 200 events, from intimate dinners to conferences with hundreds of delegates, and we are the official event planner for the Africa International Conference on Clean Energy & Energy Storage (AICCEES) for four consecutive editions.

What types of events does Mara Events plan?
Mara Events plans white, traditional and military weddings, corporate events such as product launches, AGMs and end-of-year parties, conferences and summits, gala dinners and award nights, and social celebrations such as birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers and naming ceremonies.
Where does Mara Events plan events?
Mara Events is based in Abuja (Allen Court Estate, Lugbe, FCT) and plans events across Abuja, in Lagos and in other cities in Nigeria.
How much does an event planner cost in Nigeria?
For full planning, Mara Events' fee is usually 10 to 20% of the total event budget, or a flat fee for day-of coordination and simpler events. The fee and what it covers are agreed in writing after a free consultation.
How early should I book an event planner?
For weddings, 9 to 12 months ahead. For large conferences, galas and launches, 3 to 6 months. Most corporate events need 8 to 12 weeks and most social events 4 to 8 weeks. Day-of coordination can be booked 6 to 8 weeks before the date.
Can Mara Events work with vendors I have already booked?
Yes. Mara Events can coordinate the vendors you already have and source only the ones you still need, such as caterers, décor, sound, photography or venues.
